Research Facility : MULTI-OMICS FACILITY
Multi-omics facility has been established at THSTI for generating high-quality data in Genomics, Metagenomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics and Metabolomics studies from laboratory origin or complex clinical samples.
Currently, the Multi-omics facility is equipped with multiple high-throughput equipment-
- First and Next generation DNA sequencing platforms including Illumina MiSeq, NextSeq2000, Thermo Fisher Scientific Genetic Analyzer 3700
Support: The DNA sequencing platforms provide support for 16S rRNA and ITS sequencing, metagenomic sequencing, whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, whole transcript RNA-Sequencing, and whole-exome sequencing
- Thermo Orbitrap Exploris 480 and Sciex Triple TOF 5600 Mass Spectrometers with Nano flow Liquid Chromatography systems
Support: The proteomics platform provides support for label-based and label-free protein identification and quantification as well as targeted proteomics
- Thermo Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid LC-MS metabolite identification and quantification platform
Support: The platforms provide support for metabolomics (untargeted, targeted)
- Volatile compound analysis platform Shimadzu TQ8050 GC-MS, and Support: GC-MS provides
Support for low molecular weight metabolites identification and quantification
- Element analysis platform Thermo XSeries 2 ICP-MS. Support: ICP-MS provides
Support to measure elements at trace levels in biological fluids and environmental samples
