The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization-World Health Organization-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (CDSCO-WHO-THSTI) Regulatory Webinar Series for National and State Regulatory Authority in India and e-Learning Course on Rational Use of Medicines for pharmacists jointly developed by THSTI, WHO India Country office and Pharmacy Council of India was launched on April 30th, 2024. 
Prof. G. Karthikeyan, Executive Director, THSTI, emphasized the importance of these training programs for the Indian healthcare system.
Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India, stressed the need for regulatory capacity building and advocated for rational medicine use.
Dr Madhur Gupta, Technical Officer, WHO India Country Office, spoke about WHO's role in supporting regulatory systems and access to quality medicines.
Dr Montu Patel, PCI President, reaffirmed their commitment to promoting safe and rational medicine use through education and policy.
The launch ceremony was attended by eminent subject experts from THSTI, CDSCO, MoHFW, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), WHO India Country Office & Pharmacy Council of India.
