Dr. Rajesh Kumar awarded Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Travel Award
Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Research Scientist, THSTI has been awarded Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Travel Award for participating in the L2, Transforming Vaccinology meeting organized by Keystone Symposia on Molecular and Cellular Biology to be held from Mar 15 - 19, 2020 at Firenze Fiera- Fortezza da Basso, Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The cost of the award is $2175. Dr. Rajesh has been awarded for his contribution to research on immunogen designing & human monoclonal antibody isolation using recombinant phage display technology & hybridoma. The novel approach established for monoclonal antibody isolation using a combinational approach of hybridoma and recombinant phage display technology has immense potential for isolation of mAbs against a wide variety of antigenic targets. He also developed an approach for the isolation of conformational epitope-specific monoclonal antibodies; the approach has been developed as a proof of concept study in small animal models.
