THSTI hosted the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023

This year’s India International Science Festival (IISF) edition was the 9th IISF and organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Space, Department of Atomic Energy, Vijnana Bharati and Government of Haryana from 17th-20th January 2024. This year the festival was hosted by the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad. The theme of IISF 2023 was “Science and Technology Driven Nav Bharat in Amritkal”
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, inaugurated the IISF2023 on 17th Jan 2024. In his address, Dr Singh said that the strength of science, technology and innovation has made India one of the world's fastest-growing economies. 
The THSTI stall and the Vaccine tunnel were among the most visited stalls of IISF2023. Apart from these, the mobile testing lab of THSTI also attracted visitors. The THSTI stall had posters, models and exciting games that conveyed the clinical and translational research being done at the institute. A large section of visitors were school students who were inquisitive and excited to know the research of THSTI. A group of students from MSc Clinical Research performed nukkad natak which was appreciated by the visitors.
Honourable Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar ji, also visited the IISF2023 and lauded the scientific community of the country. During his visit, he said Haryana will soon have a Science City. He also visited the Vaccine Tunnel, UTSAV, and appreciated the scientific work of THSTI.
The event concluded on 20th January 2024 and awards were given in different categories. Among the many awards given, the Best Pavilion in the Expo was won by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and the Department of Biotechnology stood second followed by the Department of Science and Technology.
