Swachhata Hi Sewa
As a part of this year’s Swachhata Hi Sewa with the theme of ‘Garbage-free India’, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) carried out a few civil works, cleanliness and plantation drive at Government Sr. Sec. School, Badkhal, Faridabad. Dr Jayanta Bhattacharya, Dean & ED (AC), THSTI motivated everyone to maintain personal hygiene and keep their surroundings clean and make India garbage-free. Swachhata Pledge was also administered to all those present. Some of the civil works done by THSTI included the installation of water purifiers, renovation of girls' toilets and school playground and cleaning of the school campus. The walls of the school were also plastered and painted. THSTI also rebuilt the entrance ramp of the school. Students and employees of THSTI performed a nukkad natak to sensitize the students about societal cleanliness. Also, there was a health talk on personal hygiene for students. The school students performed various cultural activities as a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva event. THSTI felicitated the top 5 meritorious students (who all happened to be girls) of the school who cleared class X exams & continued their Class XI in the same school.
