ट्रांसलेशनल हेल्थ साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी इंस्टीट्यूट मनाता है 75वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) celebrated the 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2020 with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event started with the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. Pramod Garg, Executive Director followed by rendering of the National Anthem.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Garg conveyed his heartfelt wishes to everyone for the 75th Independence Day. He said that being born in an independent country brings with itself huge responsibilities. Prof. Garg emphasized that as an institute of national repute, it is the duty of all the THSTI members to dedicate the services and life for the progress of the nation and strive towards making India Atma Nirbhar. He urged the students, faculty, scientists and staff of THSTI to take the lead and contribute in making India a developed nation. Prof. Garg expressed his appreciation for everyone at THSTI for contributing towards nation building especially in the difficult times of the current pandemic.

THSTI organized several events to mark the Independence Day celebrations, which saw overwhelming response from students as well as from the children of THSTI Faculty, Scientists and Staff. Inspiring talks on nationalism, patriotic songs, dumb charades, rangoli making, drawing/painting and dancing events were conducted.

The celebrations also saw launch of “konnect2prot” and first-in-globe professional certification scheme (GCPPCS) for Good Clinical Practice.

Konnect2prot was launched by Prof. Pramod Garg on the 75th Independence Day. It is an open access web application developed in-house by the Computational & Mathematical Biology Group led by Dr. Samrat Chatterjee.
Dr. Renu Swarup, Secretary, DBT formally launched first-in-globe professional certification scheme (GCPPCS) for Good Clinical Practice developed by CDSA. This scheme will certify training and individual professionals using international best practices like ISO 17024 to support regulation of clinical trials as well as promote acceptance of Indian training and professionals abroad.

Dr. Amit Pandey concluded the events by delivering vote of thanks. At the end, all the children were given gifts as a token of love and appreciation.
