About me
I completed my undergraduate studies (M.Tech) in Biotechnology at Dr. D.Y. Patil University in Navi Mumbai. In 2019, I earned my PhD in Biotechnology from KIIT University (School of Biotechnology) where I studied host-pathogen interactions in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Subsequently, I relocated to Stockholm (Sweden) to undertake my post-doctoral training at the Division of Dermatology, researching immune regulation of autoimmune skin diseases through protein citrullination, as well as at the Division of Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, where I studied infection-induced autoimmune responses in sarcoidosis, at Karolinska Institutet. Recently, I returned to India as a Ramalingaswami fellow, supported by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India to pursue my career as an independent researcher.
Research Interest
Major research area- Translational Immunology
Specific areas of research-Infection induced autoimmunity, Protein-citrullination, Inflammation and immunity, Infectious diseases.
