Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India today celebrated its 14th Foundation Day on 15th July 2023.  
Dr. Krishna Ella, Executive Chairman, Bharat Biotech International Limited was the Guest of Honour along with Dr. N K Ganguly, Former Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Dr. Alka Sharma, Senior Adviser, DBT.
Dr Jayanta Bhattacharya, Dean & Executive Director (Additional Charge), gave a brief of THSTI’s key achievements. Dr. Bhattacharya shared the progress made by the institute in basic sciences research, outcomes that affect policies and THSTI’s contributions to developing products for the healthcare sector. He also highlighted the industry-academia partnerships of THSTI.
Dr. N K Ganguly shared his insights on how modern science impacts healthcare and public health. Dr Alka Sharma talked about the journey of THSTI since its inception highlighting THSTI’s contributions in various sectors of science and technology. 
In his engaging and inspiring talk, Dr. Krishna Ella shared about his journey at Bharat Biotech. He motivated young researchers to take up challenges and find innovative and effective solutions to global healthcare problems, especially for the poor.  
Colloquium and Poster presentation competitions were held on 14th July 2022 as a part of Foundation Day celebrations. THSTI also organized a quiz competition and an entertainment program to mark the Foundation Day celebrations. The celebrations also saw the distribution of awards for outstanding performance of faculty, scientists, PhD scholars and staff in their respective fields.
