Inauguration of Advanced Nucleotide Sequencing facility
Prof. Pramod K. Garg, Executive Director, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), inaugurated the "Advanced Nucleotide Sequencing Facility" on May 29, 2023. The facility houses state-of-the-art advanced instruments, including (i) NextSeq2000 (Illumina), (ii) MiSeq (Illumina), (iii) TapeStation system, (iv) QIAcuity digital PCR system, and (v) high computing facility. The advanced sequencing facility will serve as a central facility for genomics and metagenomics in academia and industry. The facility aims to provide better-quality nucleotide sequencing data in less time and in a cost-effective manner. Major applications will include whole genome sequencing, metagenomics, transcriptomics, and absolute quantification of nucleic acids in clinical and environmental samples.
