Burden and Determinants of Small Vulnerable Newborns: Findings from a Prospective Pregnancy Cohort in South Asia-implications for public health. In this article we reported a set of modifiable risk factors which predispose to the birth of small vulnerable newborns, those who are born too soon or too small. These risk factors can be addressed at the programmatic level to reduce the burden of mortality and morbidity associated with these babies.

This is the first Indian population specific pregnancy dating model performing better than the Western models. Now being taken forward to productization.

Gestational weight gain trajectories in GARBH-Ini pregnancy cohort in North India and a comparative analysis with global references. European Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2022 Jun;76(6):855-62. doi: 10.1038/s41430-021-01040-y. This article demonstrated the need for a gestational weight gain standards that are applicable to Indian population. Now, as a follow up, our data is being incorporated into the WHO led effort for a globally relevant standard.

JAMA Pediatrics 2021 Aug 1;175(8):817-26. doi: 10.1001/jamapediatrics.2021.1050. This was one of the first articles that demonstrated the adverse effects of COVID-19 on pregnancy outcomes. This informed the COVID-19 vaccine policy for pregnant women.

·       Garbh-Ini Ultrasound Image-Based Gestational Age Estimation System (GAUGE); Indian Patent Application No. 202411027837; Filed on April 4, 2024. Role: Co-conceived the invention, designed and conducted the clinical study, and clinically evaluated the model.

·       A population-specific gestational dating system and a method thereof; Indian Patent Application No. 202341061748; Filed on September 13, 2023. Role: Conceived the invention, designed the clinical study, identified and clinically phenotyped the participants from whom the model was developed, and clinically evaluated the model.

·       Potently neutralizing novel human monoclonal antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19); Indian Patent Application No. 202111038519; Filed on August 25, 2021. Role: Designed the clinical study for the invention and identified and clinically phenotyped the participants from whom the monoclonal antibodies were generated and purified.

·       Immunoassay for detection of Coronaviridae; Indian Patent Application No. 202011039696; Filed on September 14, 2020. Role: Designed the clinical study for the invention, identified and clinically phenotyped the participants from whom the biospecimen was collected and the assay was developed; clinically evaluated the diagnostic assay.
