Swachhata Pakhwada @THSTI
THSTI commenced Swachhta Pakhwada (1st-15th May 2025) with a pledge. This was followed by a mass shramdaan at the nearby Triveni Hanuman Mandir premises.
The THSTI team undertook an initiative to promote awareness about the importance of Swachhata (cleanliness) among students of the Government Girls School, NIT-3, Faridabad. As part of this campaign, following activities were organized on the school premises:
1. A talk on personal hygiene to educate students on the importance of maintaining daily cleanliness.
2. Distribution of hygiene kits to students to support healthy habits.
3. A quiz competition to engage students and reinforce their understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
In addition to these activities, THSTI also undertook the refurbishment of the school’s drinking water facility. This included not only refurbishing of the infrastructure but also beautifying the surrounding area. The newly refurbished facility was formally handed over to the school authorities on May 15, 2025, by the Executive Director of THSTI, in the presence of the institute’s faculty and staff.
The closing ceremony of the Swachhata Pakhwada, held at the school premises, featured a nukkad natak performed by students, focusing on the theme of cleanliness. The students also created a vibrant rangoli that conveyed the message of waste segregation using blue and green dustbins for dry and wet waste respectively.
The ceremony concluded with thanks giving by the school authorities, who expressed their gratitude to THSTI for its meaningful contributions—especially the provision of a clean, aesthetically improved drinking water facility for the students.
