  5. Inter Institutional Program for Maternal, Neonatal and Infant Sciences-A translational approach to studying preterm birth. A large cohort of pregnant women has been initiated at Gurgaon Civil Hospitalin Haryana where 8000 woman will be followed from the first trimester of pregnancy till delivery and for 42d post partum.   6. Zinc as an adjunct for the treatment of very severe disease in infants younger than 2 months. Individually randomized double-blind placebo-controlled hospital-based multi (8) center, multi country (India, Nepal, Norway) study to evaluate the efficacy of daily administration of 10 mg of elemental zinc along with standard antibiotic therapy to infants aged 1 day up to 2 months hospitalized with clinical sepsis on case fatality.
