SUMMARY:

With an objective to establish a scientific career I intend to initiate contemporary research to contribute towards the discovery and development of innovative ideas and techniques relevant to vivarium management, regulatory toxicology and biomedical research utilizing my past scientific experience, knowledge and technical skills.

Has more than 10 years’ experience in the field of vivarium management and I had worked as a scientist In-charge of animal facilities and as a study director.

As an In-charge for the animal house, successfully supervised and lead the team of technicians and scientists with regard to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance and quality control.

Independently and successfully accomplished the inspections conducted by the internal Quality Assurance Units, national and international Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) authorities as an Animal House In-charge and Toxicologist.

And also involved in setting up a state of the art animal house units as per accepted national and international standards. Well versed with the different guidelines used in the regulatory research and evaluation of toxicity of test substances using animal models following national and international guidelines in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations. Well acquainted with the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures required in vivarium management and toxicological assessments. Monitored, co-operated and coordinated with scientific staff for veterinary related support.

 

WORK EXPERIENCES:

Current Position (Since August 2016): Scientist In-Charge, Small Animal Facility

Organization: Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, Haryana.

Responsible for overall management of small animal facility including breeding and supply of laboratory  animals.

 

April 2015 - August 2016: Senior Manager (Animal House Veterinarian)

Organization: Daiichi Sankyo India Pharma Private Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana.

Responsible for overall management of animal facility including animal procurement and supply of  laboratory animals as well as management of all engineering aspects related with the animal facility.

 

March 2012 - March 2015: Senior Research Scientist (Animal House Veterinarian)

Organization: Daiichi Sankyo India Pharma Private Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana.

Responsible for overall management of animal facility including animal procurement and supply of laboratory animals.
